- Philosophy
- "Students are the hope of architecture. They bring to the profession the most precious resources upon which architecture has always been dependent. The obligation of teachers of architecture is to foster and nurture in the most supportive ways possible students' imaginations, myths, dreams, and hopes in the service of skill, knowledge, understanding, and creativity. The challenge is to find the value in every student's work and articulate that worth in the context of professional experience. Even in the weakest student work there are kernels of value that can be brought to their attention, so that they can learn and build on the positive, which may then flourish and lead to a higher level of understanding and achievement."
