Bruce Goff's work and teaching at the University of Oklahoma have, through the years, both enriched the art of architecture and established a philosophy with a paramount emphasis on creative design. His idealism provided inspiration for students who came from as far as Japan to study with him. Dr. George Lynn Cross, who was president of the University of Oklahoma while Goff was there, later said, 'In careful retrospect, I consider the addition of Bruce Goff to our faculty as one of the most fortunate things that happened to the university during my tenure as president.'
