GOULD HALL
The Division of Architecture is housed in
Gould Hall. This 1950-51 building is located on the South
Oval of the main campus, across the street from the football
stadium.

You might notice the horizon in the background. This
area of the state is FLAT. The location next to the stadium
is a distraction, but on game days the student organizations
sell hamburgers and make LOTS of money.

This is the South Oval side of Gould after a rain storm. We have great skies.

This is the main entry off the South Oval.
We moved into Gould gradually, first with only a couple of offices and a studio in 1989. We completed moving all functions in 1991. We have been
lucky to have the entire building renovated to some degree. We
have had many smaller spaces converted to large studios. We now
have had the mechanical system completely changed and we even have a new fire alarm system.

This is Gould Hall from the stadium. The courtyard
has been redone and serves as a location for meetings
on nice days.

This is the North side of Gould Hall. This side does not have any painted glass. Which shows that it really was a nice building before the "University" decided to make it "energy efficient". Actually, the "University" started painting the windows even before the building was opened.
