Conditions of Accreditation

Condition 7: Physical Resources

The program must provide physical resources that are appropriate for a professional degree program in architecture, including design studio space for the exclusive use of each full-time student; lecture and seminar spaces that accommodate both didactic and interactive learning; office space for the exclusive use of each full-time faculty member; and related instructional support space. The facilities must be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and with local building, fire, and life-safety codes.

The APR must include the following information:
  • A general description, together with labeled 8-1/2-inch by 11-inch plans indicating accessibility, of the physical plant, including seminar rooms, lecture halls, studios, offices, project review and exhibition areas, libraries, computer facilities, workshops, and research areas
  • A description of any changes under construction, funded, or proposed
