Faculty Position Openings:
The following faculty positions are being advertised:

The Division of Architecture/University of Oklahoma invites applications from creative candidates for two full-time (nine-month) tenure-track entry level positions for the 2008/2009 year. Positions begin August 2008. The number and type of appointments are dependent on the availability of highly qualified candidates and the allocation of resources.

The Environment: the University is located in Norman, Oklahoma with easy access to Oklahoma City and Dallas. Norman is a rapidly developing community that still maintains a small town appeal with easy commuting distances, walking streets, historic neighborhoods and low living costs. The Division of Architecture is located in a Multidisciplinary College with Construction Science, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture and Regional and City Planning with numerous opportunities for collaboration in teaching and research. The College is beginning a multi-million dollar renovation to our existing building which is located on one of the regions’ most beautiful campuses.

Qualifications: An advanced degree in Architecture, or a closely related discipline, is required. Preference will be given to professional architectural registration, architectural practice experience, teaching experience, computer fluency, and experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, and design-oriented environment.

Responsibilities: The selected candidates normally teach creative architectural design studios course, as well as additional topic areas prioritized by need in building technology/ materials, history/theory, graduate education. Tenure-track appointees will also be expected to pursue service activities and a program of creative or scholarly topics of individual definition.
